HRA SUMMER READING 2007
ORDERS DUE BY APRIL 6th
The HRA English Department has
compiled the attached list of required
summer reading books. Summer
reading is an important part of the academic program, and each student is
required to read
at
least three books during the summer – one required book and a choice of two
others. Students should bring their
required book to the first day of class at the start of the new school year.
As a convenience to parents
and students, Friends of the Arts will accept orders for these books and
distribute them before the end of the school year. Please include the current English teacher and block on the
order form. (New students will be
notified by phone or e-mail when the books are to ready to be picked up.)
Prices of books are comparable
to Barnes and Noble, but you will save sales tax and shipping charges. Every attempt has been made to select books
currently available and in stock. Should
a book become unavailable, your money will be returned.
This sale is a major
fundraiser for Friends of the Arts, and profits are returned to the school to
be used in the arts programs. We are
fortunate to have wonderful programs in theater, forensics, studio art,
ceramics, photography, band, chorus and strings. Friends of the Arts is
happy to provide this service for HRA families, and in turn, we greatly
appreciate your support.
