Get to know HRA's International Residence Coordinator, US ESL & MS English Teacher, Trent Smith.
What is your position and how long have you worked at HRA?
I have a few positions at HRA: International Residence Coordinator, English teacher and Assistant Boys Varsity Basketball Coach. I have been working at HRA for about a year and a half.
What are your hobbies?
I play basketball any chance that I get. I'm a sports fiend and live and die by the results of my Wahoos (UVa). Music has been a really important part of my life. I also write creatively and avidly follow Game of Thrones.
What is one unique thing about you?
I make a mean quesadilla.
What do you like most about working at HRA?
I really enjoy the atmosphere. Each day, I feel more and more like I am a part of a family here at Hampton Roads Academy. Whether it's the faculty or the students, every person here is committed to success, to achieving it together, and to achieving it in the right way.
