LS celebrates Founders’ Day

To celebrate HRA’s birthday and the school’s Founders’ Day event, Lower School students wrote what they love or value about HRA on yellow and blue squares.
The squares spell out a large “HRA” and are on display in the Lower School hallway. Teachers, friends, learning, field trips and the playground are just a few things Hampton Roads Academy’s Lower School students love about HRA.  Students and teachers in PK through grade 4 responses were fun, thoughtful and simple.
“I love HRA because I get to learn new things and I like being with my friends.”
“I like HRA because I do Math and the teachers rock.”
“I value HRA because…I am a new girls at this school and honestly I was a little nervous but, after the past year I made new friends, a wonderful teacher, learned interesting things and I was determined to get a good education. I don’t know what I was so worried about!”
“Happy Birthday HRA! HRA is great because you teach me good things!”
“HRA is a great school because I get to be me! It’s for everyone.”
