Get to know HRA’s Sixth Grade Social Studies and Middle School Latin Teacher, Christine Joyce.
What is your position and how long have you worked at HRA?
I teach Ancient Civilizations (sixth grade social studies) and Middle School Latin. This is my sixth year at HRA.
What are your hobbies?
I love to read, travel with my husband and cuddle with my four kitties.
What is one unique thing about you?
I worked a variety of unique summer jobs while in college and graduate school: entomology lab assistant, winery tour guide and costumed interpreter at Colonial Williamsburg.

What do you like most about working at HRA?
The first thing that attracted me to HRA is the welcoming community. When my husband started teaching here eight years ago, everyone I met (faculty, staff, students and parents) made me feel welcome and a part of HRA. In the time that I have taught here, HRA has truly become my family.
