The Hal Tayloe Enrichment Fund is a spectacular and attainable opportunity. This generous fund allowed me to experience an entirely different culture and pursue a passion. Being awarded the Hal Tayloe Enrichment Fund last year allowed me to travel to Cusco, Peru, for two weeks. During those two weeks, I was able to volunteer to teach English at a local school for a night class they offered. With the sum I was given from the fund, I was able to bring a plethora of supplies to this school, Qosqo Maki, such as notebooks, pencils, and books of all different levels. These supplies made a huge difference to Qosqo Maki because they had very scarce amounts of resources for each student. I was able to use these supplies so that each of my students was able to have their own notebook to reference when I left. These supplies would not have been brought down without the Hal Tayloe Enrichment Fund.

Without the Hal Tayloe Enrichment Fund, I would not have been able to fathom attending this program. I would have missed out on the trip and sightseeing of a lifetime. The fund has no specific purpose other than to support a specific passion not offered in the classroom setting. Without this fund, I would not have been able to help others and learn what I love and pursue a passion of mine.
