  Students—Middle School Clubs & Organizations

Clubs & Organizations
During the first month of school, a showcase of clubs available to Middle School students will be presented. Students are then given the opportunity to join the club(s) of their choice.

Builder’s Club

Linda Sawyer, Sponsor – Participants are involved in several community service projects, with special emphasis at the holidays.

National Junior Honor Society
Cynthia Cochran, Sponsor - The National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is the nation's premier organization established to recognize outstanding middle school level students. More than just an honor roll, NJHS serves to honor those students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of Scholarship, Leadership, Service, Character and Citizenship. These characteristics have been associated with membership in the organization since its beginning in 1929.

HRA’s chapter was established in the spring of 2004 and members were inducted for the first time in April 2005. During the school year, our NJHS chapter operates as a service club, assisting the school community as well as the wider Peninula community. The second class of students was inducted in April 2006. This organization is student-run by a strong group of committed 8th and 9th graders.
