HRA Latin students recognized

Three Upper School students recently received recognition for their outstanding performance on the 2019 National Latin Exam.
Senior, Cassie Davies was awarded the Maureen O’Donnell book award for her fourth gold medal performance. As a senior gold medal winner, Cassie was also was invited to apply for a $2,000.00 college scholarship. If selected, she would be eligible for an additional $2,000 if she continued her study of Latin and/or Ancient Greek the following year.

Junior, Hunter Muench not only received the Maureen O’Donnell book award for his fourth gold medal performance but was also recognized for his perfect score on the Latin IV prose exam. As this is his fourth perfect score in a row, not only did Hunter receive a special certificate but he was also the recipient of the Carter Stubbs Drake Goad Book Award. Only five students out of over 130,000, who participated nationwide and abroad, earned this recognition.

Sophomore, Cater Patten also received a special certificate recognizing his perfect score on this year’s Latin III NLE.
