HRA and Mariners’ Museum partner in Titanic project

This spring, junior-level AP English students incorporated technology and in-depth research to create podcasts and webpages regarding the passengers and crew members who were aboard the ill-fated Titanic.
On April 4, the top eight podcasts received recognition at a public awards ceremony held at the Mariners’ Museum.  The finalists were Connor Duggan, Sarah Helpinstill, Jasmine Colson, Dane DiMuzio, LauraJean Logue, Alexandria Grigsby, Sophia Scott, and Lian Yousef.  The Museum’s Manager of Student Programs, Wisteria Perry, awarded medals and commemorative books to the top three award winners:  Alexandria Grigsby, LauraJean Logue, and Dane DiMuzio.  Jack Hopson, Carey Hutchens, Ryan Post, Peter Galantich, Nick Gessner, Tate Tanguy, Thomas Blanchard, and Connor Duggan also received recognition for their exemplary research efforts. As a special treat, Sarah Teagle, Jill Shoemaker, Clara Park, Alex Grigsby, Sade Burns, and Sarah Helpinstill entertained the audience with musical performances.
