HRA’s Tri-M Inducts 13 new members

On October 29, The Hampton Roads Academy Tri-M Music Honor Society, Chapter #2711, inducted 13 new members.  The Induction ceremony welcomes new members each year who meet the requirements of membership.
Tri-M, a program of NAfME, is an international music honor society for high school students. The purpose of Tri-M is to recognize and reward students for their achievements in academics and music, as well as for their service activities and leadership. The name, Tri-M, stands for Modern Music Masters.

This year’s new inductees were:
Juniors: Mica Florance, Lucas Lu, Jack Oliverio, David Stout
Sophomores: Jack Baust, Josh Kostiner, Carter Patten, Adrianne Sugden
Freshmen: Blaine Hutchens, Emma James, Michael Kokolis, Faith Murray, Laura Renforth

Seniors Cassie Davies, Alexandria Grigsby, Jill Shoemaker, Sarah Teagle and Isabel Perez-Garcia spoke at the ceremony on the importance of music in their lives.

Chapter #2711 awarded Mrs. Katharine Goddin a life-time Membership to Tri-M for her devotion to working with students in the performing arts.
The ceremony concluded with a recital presented by student members.
