Our international students enrich both the educational and cultural experiences of our student body and offer us all a stronger understanding of our global community. The Hampton Roads Academy Upper School is a student body of around 250. We do limit the number of students from any one country to ensure that all international students have a true American residential experience.

HRA offers the following benefits to its International students:
  • English support courses including College English and Writing
  • College Counseling and a 100% success rate in US College / University matriculation for International graduates
  • Test-prep: TOEFL, SAT, ACT, and HRA is a test site for all of these tests
  • Apartment-style living with faculty supervision and academic support
We welcome inquiries about our Upper School International Residency Program from all countries and nationalities.
