at Founders' Day on April 20, 2017. Barclay initiated and continues to organize the annual Alumni vs. Varsity soccer games at HRA, thus keeping several alumni involved with each other and the school.

was featured in an article by the Daily Press in April 2016. Saxon is an award-winning garden photographer in California and was a featured speaker at the Virginia Living Museum's 50th anniversary event on April 24. He also came to HRA on Monday, April 25, 2016 to work with two student photography classes.

are excited about the opening of the Tradition Brewing Co. in June 2016, as the first craft beer venture in Newport News. They are part of a group of investors and Gray will be the operations manager.

is hiking the Appalachian Trail throughout the sping and summer of 2016 before attending law school at William & Mary is August 2016. His quest is about raising awareness and money for a veterans' organization.

performed recently (May 2016) at the Williamsburg Music Club benefit concert. She graduated from Oberlin Conservatory of Music and is working on a master's of music in piano performance at the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University, where she is also an associate instructor. She is making aname for herself in the music world. She has won numerous awards, performing as a soloist, soloist with orchestra, and vocal and instrumental accompanist.
Alumna Courtney Elliott Gardner `85 won an ALLI award from the Cultural Alliance of Hampton Roads this past weekend for her support of the arts. She is currently Executive Director of the Peninsula Fine Arts Center.

announces that he is currently involved in the Freedom Exhibits
, celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation. The first exhibit, entitled "I Dream Freedom," celebrates icons of the Civil Rights Movement of Past and Present through paintings and photography. The second exhibit will be a selection of art from a variety of artists under the theme of "Freedom." Asa is one of the artists represented in the exhibit, which runs from January 11-February 28. The opening reception is at 6:30 p.m. on January 11, 2013.

Following her graduation from HRA, Katie studied at Virginia Tech and the Savannah School of Art and Design. She went on to work in Amsterdam and now lives in New York City.
