HRA’s 21st Annual NAHS Juried Art Show

Congratulations to the fifty-seven artists whose eighty-one works of art were selected by juror Ryan Eure for the annual National Art Honor Society juried art show!  Ryan, who attended Hampton Roads Academy from 2001-2004 was thrilled to see the growth of the HRA campus and noted  the significance of our presence on the peninsula. Currently, Ryan is the owner and precious metal jewelry artist of Ryan Eure Designs.  His study in the field of Sculpture and Ceramics earned him a Bachelor of Fine Arts, graduating Magna Cum Laude from Western State Colorado University. His art degree lead Ryan to pursue a career jewelry design.
Student artwork was selected by Ryan, along with awards on Thursday, March 12.  The opening reception/award ceremony was scheduled to have taken place on Wednesday, March 18. Unfortunately, that was not possible. However, the show will be displayed in the Stacy Philips’03 Fine Art Gallery for the opening of the 2020/ 2021 school year. Students have been notified of their accepted works and those who have received awards. Ribbons will be displayed with the works this fall. Many thanks to department head Jenn Clemons and art instructors John Nichols, Hazel Mason and Julie Rouzie for their expertise in teaching these artists throughout their years at HRA. Our most heartfelt congratulations to our artists who continue to develop and share their talent with our Hampton Roads Academy community!
