"Love the Garden, Take A Piece Home"

“Love the Garden, Take A Piece Home…”, was the theme of the Lower School Garden Club’s recent spring garden sale. After the monthly Lower School Leadership Assembly, garden club members filled the sale area with the school garden’s bounty.

There were plants including tomatoes, strawberries, peppers, and fresh herbs. Loufa was the most unusual product on the table, as the students sold both loufa soap and plain scrubbers. All of the sale items were planted and made by the Lower School Garden Club members. The students also presented a free gift to everyone who stopped by the table: a digital copy of the Garden Club's cookbook which included recipes for the yummy garden recipes the students cooked throughout the year. The sale raised more than $200, and the profit will be used to purchase supplies for next season and start the club's next garden project.
