HRA 7th graders have a day of fun in CW

In early May HRA 7th grade students, teachers, and parent chaperones traveled to Williamsburg for a day full of fun and educational team-building challenges.
With the grade split into two groups for the morning, half of the students attempted to piece together the necessary clues in order to escape one of the four themed escape rooms at Room Escape-Williamsburg while the other half competed in a teacher-created “CW Seek-and-Find Challenge” on Duke of Gloucester Street in Colonial Williamsburg. After reassembling as a full grade for a picnic lunch on the Palace Green, the groups then switched locations for an afternoon of challenges as well.

While on Duke of Gloucester Street for the teacher-created “CW Seek-and-Find Challenge”, groups of three to four students with a parent chaperone participated in a race to see which group could accumulate the most points in 90 minutes. Teams rushed around D.O.G. Street completing three different categories of challenges: fact, photo, and physical, all with varying point values. With barely enough time to complete them all, teams had to move quickly and strategize carefully, for the team with the most points at the end of the allotted time would be the winner! Congratulations goes to the winning group, Lainey Epstein, Hayden Brookman, Emma Donavant and parent chaperone Laura Epstein.
