HRA Memorial Award Information

The Hampton Roads Academy Memorial Awards are given annually in memory of those who were very special to the HRA community. Students receive monetary awards or engraved gifts. Below are details about two awards that students must apply to for consideration.
HRA’s Hal Tayloe Enrichment Award was established to encourage students to engage in independent learning experiences in the areas of their interest. Students must be returning to HRA next year and all appropriate fees much have been paid to the HRA Business Office. Total grant amount to be disbursed is $1,400. Click here to learn more about the award and how to apply. Applicants must be rising 6 – 12 grade students. Applications are due to the Advancement Office by Monday, April 12, 2019.

HRA’s John C. "Kit" Scull '64 Memorial Award was established as a memorial to honor “Kit’s” memory and perpetuate his many fine qualities. Click here to learn more about the award and download the application. Applicants must be current Juniors. Applications are due to the Advancement Office by Friday, April 12, 2019.
