HRA boys swim team named team runner up at Division II State Swim Meet

Hampton Roads Academy boys swim team was named team runner up at the VISAA Division II State Swim Meet in February 14 & 15 at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
Top swims include Avery Cronin who finished 8th in the 100 freestyle and 7th in 100 breaststroke, Bryce Rouzie who finished 7th in the 500 freestyle and 10th in 100 backstroke, Blake Rouzie who finished 12th in 100 breaststroke and the 400 free relay consisting of Cronin, Rouzie, Rouzie and Michael Kokolis which finished 8th.

“We are very proud of how hard our swimmers worked throughout the season and at the State Meet,” said Head Coach Jeff Scott.

HRA’s girls team also had a great meet with three top 16 finishes, including 13th in the 200 Medley relay- Sophia Snyder, Allie Reed, Molly Rouzie, Christy Slate, 14th in the 200 freestyle relay- Snyder, Slate, A. Reed, Joise Lindsay and 10th in the 400 free relay- Snyder, Slate, Rouzie and Lindsay.
