Head of Lower School shares HRA’s core values through a book

HRA’s Head of Lower School Mrs. Swain recently shared the book What to Do with a Problem by Kobi Yamada with illustrations by Mae Besom with 1st – 4th grade classes.
The story focused on a child who has a persistent problem and how this child learns to face this problem and conquer the difficulty.  The story was followed by class discussions in which the students talked about the new school year and how best to face challenges during the year ahead.  Classes also reviewed HRA's core values - honesty, respect and responsibility.  Each class signed a pledge form promising to follow HRA's rules and honor our school's guiding principles.  Pledge sheets with signatures will hang in each classroom to remind students of their class promise.
