Bronwyn Keating signs letter of intent to the JMU Swimming Program

Hampton Roads Academy senior Bronwyn Keating signed her letter of intent to swim for the James Madison University Swimming and Diving Program.

A valuable contributor to the Hampton Roads Academy swim team, Keating helped the Navigators win four consecutive Division II Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships. She was the 2015 Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association State Champion in the 50 Freestyle and as member of the 400 Freestyle Relay Team. She also attained All-Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools recognition in each of the past four seasons with HRA. Through her excellence in the pool, Keating has set team records in the 50 Freestyle, 100 Freestyle, 100 Backstroke and as a member of both the 200 Freestyle and 400 Freestyle Relays.

“Bronwyn has been a versatile swimmer for the HRA swim team for the past four years,” said HRA Swim Team Head Coach Jeff Scott. “She has played a pivotal role in our State Championship teams and swam every event throughout her high school career for the Navigators. As a captain this past year, she was a great leader for the team both in and out of the pool.”
